We stand for sustainable living, smart design and elegant comfort
True comfort only comes when we can feel good about ourselves and when we know that we are not harming anyone else or contributing to deterioration of our own home. And so we chose Moso Morrow fabrics for their qualities, wearability, softness of touch and, especially, their sustainability. We select with intention and care for sustainable future.
All Moso Morrow fabrics are made with plant-based FSC-certified sustainable fibre that is good for your skin, free from harmful substances and produced ethically with certified environment management practices.
Our Bamboo Jersey
The Origin Range and the signature underwear collection are made with bamboo jersey.
Bamboo is a remarkably sustainable and water-efficient crop with average yields 3-6 times greater than cotton. It usually requires no pesticides and fertilisers so it is naturally organic.
We use Tanboocel branded bamboo viscose fibre derived from only organic bamboo, coming from FSC-certified controlled sources. It is made in a patented closed-loop process where the majority of the chemicals are reused.
It conforms with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and is free from harmful substances. Environmental management systems of yarn processing conform with ISO 14001:2015
Unique Properties
- Breathable and light
- Anti-bacterial
- Naturally moisture wicking
- Thermoregulating
- More absorbent than cotton
- Anti-UV
- Anti-static
- Soft, chic and silky with a cashmere-like texture
- Compostable – decomposes in the environment within 6 months (some of our blends may have a small per cent of non-compostable fibres)
Bamboo fibre contains micro-gaps, which provide ventilation, insulation and help evaporate moisture while making the fabric made with it feel ultra-light.
The softest fabric available bamboo viscose jersey has a reputation for luxury because of its silky feel, beautiful drape, and subtle glow.
Combined with its antibacterial properties it makes it wonderful for people with allergies, sensitive skin and infections. Bamboo also is 30% less likely to retain odours in comparison to cotton.
The thermo-regulating properties will help you stay nice and cool in summer while keeping you warm and cozy in winter.
Unlike most of our competitors, we only use bamboo blends with less than 10% of non-bamboo fibres. We will never use Nylon or Polyester to cheapen the fabric. We tried to minimise or completely eliminate the use of elastic and allow a maximum of 5-8% quality elastane for improved wearability and added stretch.
